Love is the Key

Even if you have a car

And if you know how to drive

And you know where to go

And what time to arrive

Even if you have a house

That’s as cute as can be

With a garden or a lake

And a chair under your tree

Even if you have a box

And it’s contents guaranteed

To fill your heart and your soul

With both healthiness and glee

Neither car, nor the house

Or the box could ever be

Nearly useful, fun, or pleasureful

If you hadn’t got the key

So what’s the key?

You may ask, to the heavens up above

To car, and house, and box and hearts

The key is surely love

Does it count as a surrender?
